The most important technique I learned is this- when you call your leads , you have to have the other human being in mind. At the first contact with your leads, your motive should not be your profit. Share what you know to help them solve other persons’ problem in relation to online business and/or internet marketing tips.

Before you pick up the phone and call, understand the purpose of your call. Be aware that your initial conversation should only be to offer help to your lead to achieve their success. Never at first, start talking about your company's products and services unless they ask. Keep the focus on the prospects.

When I call, first ask several questions about their company, what they do and how they do it.
Keep in mind that my goal is to help the person on the other end to solve their issues/problems/situations. This will help you establish enough rapport and trust so you can call these prospects back and be reasonably certain they will take your call. SO let me repeat, at your initial contact your goal is to create trust in you that in turn will make you a person to come to when they need a solution in their internet marketing efforts.

If you have done things correctly in your initial contact, the prospects may express interest in your products and services, and you may be able to sell them something if everything works out ok.

Usually my first contact with the lead goes like this:
“Good morning Ms. (prospect’s Name)”,
“This is (my name) (your company name etc)”.
“The reason I'm calling you today specifically is
that you submitted an online request to access to
an internet marketing tool called Blastomatic. I want to
see if you had a chance to use the tool and have any question on it”.
(then I wait until they respond)
I will continue,
“This tool and other tools that are available in Veretekk can help you
promote you and your online business by improving your SEO(search
engine optimization)”.
(then again I wait they respond)

Then if appropriate, I will add saying,
“If you are interested, I would like to give you (or email you) a website
explaining some of the things about our SEO system”.

Remember that the words you use and the way you speak to your leads will reveal your intentions. Therefore before you call, determine in your mind your goal of this call is to better the prospect. Only with that domination in your mind will everything you speak to them will reflect the good purpose and will direct towards mutual benefit without being pushy.

    Ever wonder how some people seem to be able to find prospective business builders and customers, no matter where they are? In the dentist's office, at the airport, in a taxicab? Does it take an extrovert or an expert in Public Relations to know how to strike up those conversations?

    Lifetime Master Coordinator Jim Burke recently stated that most lucrative careers in the world have been built on the premise of "doing one thing well." And building a large organization that can generate residual income in Shaklee is no different.
    
    Here's Jim's outline for creating a plan to become a Director. It's one very experienced and successful leader's approach for helping others to become a Director in the first 30-90 days in Shaklee!
    
    1. First, commit to following the plan
    2. Become a GOLD Ambassador (this opens the door to all of the different ways you can be paid in Shaklee)
    3. Set up an office in your home
    4. Learn and understand the Director position with all of its benefits and importance
    5. Hook up with all support systems (Shaklee University, EXCITE training meetings, conference calls, team meetings)
    6. Learn how to do a new Member orientation: This means helping your network (see point #9) to Shakleeize their home and also set up a Shaklee office
    7. Purchase a small inventory – certainly not a requirement, but a great commitment
    8. Learn how to present the compensation plan.
    9. Build a network of 20 or 30 people†
    10. Build to Director – if you can’t make it to Director, you can’t help create a Director
